Which infant car seat is going to be the best?
Here are the choices that I have looked at: Graco SafeSeat, Britax Companion or the Chicco Key-fit 30. I currently own a Baby Trend Flex-Loc(from my first son) which is okay, but I want something that has side impact protection is easy to use and can hold a long torsoed baby. My baby will have to be on the outboard position. Price is also not an issue.
If you are needing something that will hold a longer/larger baby, then the Britax Companion probably is not the way to go. It is a great, safe seat but has pretty much the same height and weight limits as a typical infant seat. I owned the Graco SafeSeat and though I liked the seat it was big, bulky, and my newborn hated it so bad she screamed and screamed every time we put her in until we took her out. It is just a big seat for a newborn. I do not have personal experience with the KeyFit 30 but have heard good things and seen them with smaller babies in them and they look comfortable. They aren't any heavier than a regular Chicco seat either if I remember right....wish I would have gone with that one!
