First Years On the Go Booster Seat Review

High back "booster" seat?

I am looking to graduate my toddler from the convertible carseat she is in, to a higback "booster" carseat (NOT the one with just the base of the seat that is backless for older kids until age 10).

I mean the booster seat that has a flat, high back for toddlers.

Most say 30lbs for weight. Did you move your kid once they reached 30lbs, or is there any age/maturity consideration I should factor in before moving her up in the carseat world?

The reason I ask is right now she likes to move the buckle on her convertible carseat and get her arms out, and I don't know if these booster seats have safety issues that toddlers who like to escape (like if they use the car's seat belt instead of their own, etc. and if she's going to be unbluckling the car seat belt or something).

Thoughts, tips, any problems you had with your kid using one would be helpful!!!! thanks!
Any recommendations on models are appreciated too

If she is still within the height/weight limits of her convertible car seat, your best bet is to keep her there. A five point harness is much safer than a traditional seat belt (and in your case, also harder to escape from). Just remember that every step up in car seats is a step down in safety.
